Resumen: La Química ha aportado tanto conocimientos como materiales al mundo de los biomateriales, con los que fabricar implantes y sustitutos óseos. Esta disciplina está claramente situada en un campo multidisciplinar y de ciencia transversal. En este artículo se tratará de ilustrar estas afirmaciones.

Abstract: Chemistry has provided both knowledge and materials to the world of Biomaterials, in order to produce implants and bone replacements. This field of study is clearly a multidisciplinary area with transverse science. This paper will try to illustrate these statements.
